Arm Balance & Inversion Workshop with Kathy Mattioda Come learn to FLY! All levels welcome. Students will learn the basics of arm balances by understanding the fundamentals and then breaking down each arm balance and inversion. This workshop is perfect for anyone, whether you have already started on your journey of trying an arm balance or not. It’s all about breaking down the poses so they are easier (and less scary!) to get into. By focusing on alignment, techniques and tips you will be guided and shown how to use props to safely (and with less fear) get you into and out of arm balances and inversions. During this 90 minute workshop we will explore 8 Angle (Astavakrasana), Crow (Bakasana), Side Crow (Parsva Bakasana) & Headstand (Sirsasana). Please come with a mat, towel, water, pen/pencil and a fun positive “I can” attitude! Handout will be provided where you can write your notes. Due to the limited time of the workshop. Make sure to show up 15 minutes before to get set up and start warming up. We will go through a few warm-up stretches to prepare the physical body and discuss basics before diving into each pose. Bring Yoga mat and water bottle.
